The Opportunity: This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Partners and experienced Consultants to learn the processes of searching for and assessing leadership talent. You will gain the ability to quickly interpret and understand a business’s operations, aspirations, and competitive landscape. You’ll work alongside experts in their industries or functions and develop a diverse range of highly transferable skills, including advanced research, analytical thinking, networking, communication, and persuasion. This role is suited to individuals who are looking to enter the executive search industry in an agile environment that, more so than many search firms, allows rapid career progression contingent on exceptional performance. You may be towards the start of your career, may have had previous roles in a different industry, may be looking to make the jump from contingent recruitment to retained search, or may be coming back from a career break wanting something new (e.g., maternity leave).
A Typical Day: Collaborate with the project team to gather recruitment briefs and develop research strategies to execute searches. Use digital research techniques to identify and target companies, mapping business markets, and providing insights into their structure, size, and direction. Identify, interview, and screen potential candidates who meet client criteria. Maintain data accuracy and quality throughout the assignment. Produce client reports with recommendations based on research findings. Create relevant marketing materials, including proposals and mandate marketing packs. Conduct referencing and background checks to ensure due diligence has been thoroughly carried out. Contributing to growth of the business through both exceptional project delivery and supporting business development to grow existing accounts and win new clients.
Requirements: A completed tertiary education. Educational / professional experience that allows you to objectively showcase an ability to successfully manage competing priorities, communicate efficiently and impressively with those in senior positions, and be able to improve processes while simultaneously executing them to deadlines.
