My client in Market Harborough seeks a Paralegal to ensure the accurate handling of legal processes in property transactions. Following an accepted offer, the Paralegal will clarify responsibilities and timelines, proactively identify and resolve potential issues to prevent delays and financial losses, and uphold a high standard of customer service. This involves managing communication with all involved parties, monitoring property searches, land registry checks, financial aspects, and sales contracts to achieve timely and satisfactory outcomes. The firm is known for its modern communication methods and efficient transaction speeds.
Job Duties
- A strong desire to be an active part of the Residential Conveyancing team.
- Drafting registered contracts including issuing and chasing contracts as well as proof-reading system generated documentation.
- Liaising with, and building relationships with other professionals involved in property transactions including local estate agents.
- Providing quotations to clients and prospective clients both verbally and in writing.
- Attending clients both on the telephone and in person.
- Administering filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
- Preparing correspondence using our case management system.
- Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required (non-exhaustive).
- Exchanging contracts.
- Preparing files for completion.
- Drafting completion statements.
- Reporting to client on searches, mortgage contract and title pack.
- Checking MLR and having documents signed off.
- Raising enquiries with seller’s solicitors.
- Replying to enquiries of buyer’s solicitors.
