Location: RAF Cranwell Salary: Competitive + Car/Car allowance + Benefits Hours of work: Permanent, 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday Reporting to the Senior Project Manager the project manager will enable the delivery of all billable works. This role will see you ensure that all Billable Works projects are delivered safely and within agreed timelines and budget, oversee and manage the Statutory Compliance state of sites within area of responsibility, ensuring that any overdue Statutory and Mandatory Tasks are adequately mitigated for risk following consultation with DIO and HoE Representatives, and identify opportunities on establishments to support the MoD’s Net Zero carbon reduction targets and initiate Billable Works initiatives to achieve them. You will also monitor and manage the Supply Partners project teams to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks and ensure that all operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment, and skills to perform relevant tasks, monitor and manage the Supply Partners project delivery to ensure that quality, and safe working are consistently achieved throughout all projects, review Supply Partners Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard as well as confer with local DIO representatives, the Local Customer Service Representative, and the relevant Site Manager to agree scope & priorities of Billable Works on a regular basis. You will be managing new build, refurb/refit and demolition construction projects at RAF Cranwell and 8 other sites in the Leicestershire, Notts and Lincolnshire area. As such, you must be willing and able to travel as part of your role. What You Need To Do The Job: First and foremost, you should be an experienced Project Manager from a construction background, with HNC or equivalent qualification in Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. You should have a good understanding of Asbestos Awareness, IOSH Managing Safely and Legionella Control (L8). This role will require you to be familiar with the commercial aspects of project management, supply chain selection, reviewing tenders, and submission/contractors quotations. You should understand project risk, including milestones/managing cash flow. Strong IT skills are essential, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. This role requires you to have a full UK driving licence and to be able to pass SC Clearance.
