Salary of up to £65,000.00 per Annum depending on experience.

About You:

As a Finance Manager, you will be detail oriented and a proactive accountant with 2-3 years post qualification experience. You will be self-motivated with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy. Your ability to take initiative, communicate and build relationships with all colleagues of all levels across our Club and Support Centre teams will be important in this role as is the desire to think commercially. You will have the ability to deal with a fast-paced environment and respond well to change. The ability to see where improvements can be made to processes and follow these through would also be valuable in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering with the Transformation team.
  • Ownership of the short-term cash flow model.
  • Support the Head of FP&A with updating the financial model.
  • Providing support with the creation of Business cases for capital expenditure.
  • Capital expenditure reporting, including reporting on project spend for the Project Managers and total capex periodic reporting for the Board pack.
  • Assistance in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for capital expenditure.
  • Reporting on balance sheet and cash flow at period end and investigating variances.
  • Support with preparation of Statutory Accounts.
  • Support with IFRS 16 year-end calculations.
  • Other ad hoc year-end related activities.
  • Preparation of finance lease calculations for new leases.
  • Looking into variances and responding to ad hoc queries from across the business.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller and Head of FP&A.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • You will be a qualified Financial Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2-3 years of experience post qualification either in Practice or Industry.
  • You will have good IFRS knowledge and recent experience of applying IFRS.
  • Keen to think commercially.
  • Strong system knowledge/skills, Essbase experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of using excel to a high standard. Experience in complex financial models would be desirable but not essential.
  • Powerpoint experience would be desirable.
