Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturer based in Derbyshire to recruit a Waterjet Operator to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with either waterjet or laserjet experience. If you’ve previously worked with laser cutting and are looking to upskill, full training on waterjet machinery will be provided.
The role:
- Operating CNC waterjet cutting machines
- Around 50% computer-based work and 50% hands-on physical operation
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Performing basic maintenance and machine checks
- Supporting production targets in a safe, efficient manner
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience with waterjet or laserjet cutting
- Comfortable using computer systems as part of machine operation
- A hands-on, detail-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills - this is not a 100% desk based job!
- A reliable and proactive attitude
