Are you a dynamic and creative communications professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking an experienced and driven Communications Executive to join our team and play a key role in shaping our internal and external communications. This role is ideal for someone with a background in an established communications function who is eager to expand their expertise across internal communications, PR, social media, and content creation.

You’ll be working for one of the UKs top automotive retailers, representing some of the best car brands in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, driving engagement and delivering compelling communications across our multi-site organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Craft engaging content for various internal communication channels, ensuring the right message reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate key campaigns in collaboration with operational and support function leaders.
  • Manage and maintain our colleague engagement platform, Workvivo, ensuring it remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.
  • Provide strategic communication support to stakeholders, advising on the most effective ways to implement initiatives and achieve objectives.
  • Support and organise colleague events, including town halls, leadership meetings, and recognition events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Assist the Head of Communications with strategic UK projects such as change programmes, colleague engagement initiatives, and experience surveys.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and people teams to ensure aligned messaging and activities.
  • Monitor media coverage and track brand mentions.
  • Drive engagement on our UK social media pages, in collaboration with our social team to contribute to our external presence.
  • Manage a communications calendar, outlining key internal and external deliverables, events, and awards.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance and engagement levels, making data-driven improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and engagement.
  • Proven experience in internal communications, with a passion for delivering high-quality, impactful messaging.
  • Some exposure to external communications, including PR and media engagement.
  • Strategic and commercially aware, with the ability to align communication efforts with business objectives.
  • Experience working within a large, multi-site organisation and managing communications to different audiences.
  • Confident in stakeholder management, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Creative, collaborative, and solutions-oriented, bringing fresh ideas and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience creating content for diverse channels and audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Familiarity with Workvivo or similar internal engagement platforms (desirable but not essential).
