The Role
As a Senior Appian Developer, you will ensure that you deliver positively towards the team's technical solutions for customers on time and to the expected quality standard provided by the Systems Development Manager. Day-to-day, you will be required to work with new and current software as you undertake requirements reviews, technical design, modelling, software development, unit testing and deployment of new applications as well as continual improvement to existing applications:
- Ensure software development is undertaken in accordance with IT quality, plan and procedures.
- Undertake efficient software development using good design and implementation methodologies.
- Undertake unit testing to verify developed software performs in accordance with the supporting requirements.
- Attend workshops / reviews / stand-ups to discuss the development project, demonstrate progress to date and communicate with project stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation to support the completed application.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
Essential Experience of the Senior Appian Developer:
- Considerable amount of proven development experience.
- Demonstratable knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
- Knowledge of waterfall, iterative and agile approaches to software delivery.
- Experience of working with BPM software applications like Appian as well as other development tools such as IDEs and source code management.
- Disciplined and methodical approach to configuration control.
