We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our clients manufacturing team based in Coalville. This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering the right candidate the opportunity to lead a dynamic logistics function supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team overseeing all inbound and outbound logistics operations from raw materials coming into the factory, to manufactured goods being scheduled and delivered to construction sites. Your leadership will be key in ensuring health and safety, cost-efficiency, service quality, and stock accuracy are upheld across logistics operations.
Competitive basic salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the logistics team, including transport and material coordinators
- Schedule and manage deliveries of raw materials and manufactured goods
- Ensure full alignment with the production schedule in coordination with the Head of Manufacturing
- Maintain and develop supplier and subcontractor relationships through regular reviews and performance monitoring
- Monitor transport performance and costs, keeping them within budget while meeting service expectations
- Ensure full adherence to health and safety standards with risk assessments and standard operating procedures in place
- Support in the development and implementation of logistics strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee accurate stock control, including weekly cycle counts and annual stocktakes
- Provide support to the Purchasing team with supplier feedback and issue tracking
- Track and manage stillages and trailer movements between the factory and construction sites
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in logistics and warehouse management, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL)
- Prior experience in a leadership role with team management responsibilities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
- Commercially aware and able to manage cost-efficient logistics operations
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 in a manufacturing/logistics context
- Ability to create training documentation and support process implementation
