Our client is a leading specialist in asset management, distribution specialised based in Nottinghamshire. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Commercial Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique pathway into senior leadership, with the potential for progression into a Commercial Director position.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead business growth initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and build lasting relationships within the transport and logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, warehousing and asset management and a proven ability to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and commercial contracts

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategy

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of business development or sales experience in the logistics, warehousing, or asset management industry (preferred)

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused
