We have an exciting opportunity within our Domestics department who are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeepers.
About the role: You will join on a part time, permanent basis (26 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The Housekeeper has a pivotal role within the boarding house, they work closely with the Matron to ensure the welfare of the boarders are to the highest standard and that their needs are met to the standards specified by the College. Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):
- Complete the daily cleaning tasks assigned, following the cleaning schedule for that house.
- Coordinate a full call over when waking up the boarders in the morning.
- Monitor pupils' medical needs by administrating and observing the taking of prescribed and non-prescribed medication.
- Arrange travel to A&E / personal appointments.
- Monitor the pupil's whereabouts between 7.30 and 11.30hrs.
- Monitor access for visitors including contractors to the house.
Person Specification: The successful incumbent must have:
- Well-developed understanding of the English language both written and well as reading.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Awareness of Safeguarding requirements (desirable).
