We are seeking a skilled CHP Maintenance Engineer to perform field-based maintenance, emergency repairs, and system diagnostics on CHP units and gas engines. This role is vital to maintaining operational reliability, adhering to manufacturer standards, and delivering outstanding customer service in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities:- Conduct routine maintenance and scheduled service checks on CHP systems in line with manufacturer protocols.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical/electrical components to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement timely resolutions.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergency breakdowns, including out-of-hours work.
- Ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and efficient problem-solving.
- Proven experience maintaining CHP systems, gas engines, or similar power generation equipment.
- Strong mechanical/electrical engineering background.
- Recognised qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) in Gas, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Gas Safe Registered certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage on-call shifts.
- Manufacturer-specific training (MAN, Liebherr, MTU).
- Knowledge of sustainable energy solutions and energy efficiency practices.
- Previous field service experience in power generation or related sectors.
