Hays are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to assist our client in ensuring the outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. You will be working with Chelmsford and your main responsibilities will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and general landscape upkeep. You will have a keen eye for detail, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic. This is a full-time, seasonal position where you will be working 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday and this will be for around 8 months.
Key responsibilities will include:- Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery and equipment
- General maintenance of grounds, e.g. grass cutting, clearing of debris, leaves, litter, hedge and shrub trimming
- Use of gardening equipment, powered hand tools and ride on machinery
- Maintenance of vehicles and gardening machinery
- Full driving licence
- Experience of using gardening power tools
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
