There is a new bookkeeper vacancy with a successful, forward-thinking independent firm based in the Newark area. The firm are easily accessible from areas including Lincoln, Grantham, Mansfield, and Nottingham. The firm are open on hours ranging from 20 hours up to full-time. The role will be varied and you will be using the latest cloud-based accountancy and bookkeeping software.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of sales and purchase ledgers
- Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
- Reconciling and balancing bank and control accounts on a schedule agreed with each client
- Managing client invoices & payments
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns
