Are you a bit of a night owl? Want a night's role that gives you a perfect work-life balance? Working Monday - Thursday. Due to a recent investment in the recycling centre in Ilkeston, we are looking for an engineer to enhance the current team, which consists of 5 engineers, a Stores person, and a project engineer. The great thing with this role is there is a real opportunity for you to develop your engineering skills working with a wide range of machinery with a mix of new, state-of-the-art machinery and traditional equipment. Ideally, you will be a mechanically biased engineer but if you are more electrically biased with the want to upskill then we want to hear from you!
Your nights will be spent providing both proactive and reactive maintenance and delivering a clear plan for the plant's continuous improvement projects. You will need to be comfortable working in a chemical processing environment.
What will you be doing as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer?
- Ensure installation, inspection, maintenance and repair work is carried out to a high standard and in line with the health, safety and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain equipment to high standards in order to provide the most effective maintenance on site and keep all processes operational and efficient.
- Make improvements and recommendations to reduce downtime.
- Carry out repairs/adjustments as required during routine and Planned Preventive Maintenance.
- Work flexibly in all required areas of the site and in close co-operation with other members of the maintenance team.
- Be responsible for ensuring that good housekeeping standards are maintained in their own activities and area of work.
Qualifications & Skills required to become a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Competent electrically biased
- The ability to work on your own.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or recycling plant.

- Monday - Thursday 17:45 - 06:15
- Basic salary & Shift allowance £55,500
- 30 days holiday- Including Bank Holidays rising after 1 years service.
