MIG Welder

Are you an experienced Fabricator or MIG Welder with a passion for precision engineering? Impact Recruitment is working with a client who specialise in the design, manufacture, and supply of custom-built equipment and general fabrications. They are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their production team. This hands-on role involves the fabrication of bespoke mild steel equipment using both standard stock sections and precision-machined parts. Salary: £35,000 – £36,000 (Depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Location: Northampton Job Duties: Read and interpret engineering drawings to build bespoke lifting components. Fabricate components from mild steel using MIG welding techniques. Accurately tack, weld, grind, and finish work to a high standard. Work alongside our machine operator to ensure seamless production. Follow and adapt to weekly production schedules and deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards. Assist with occasional general fabrication tasks as needed. Requirements: Minimum 3 years\’ experience in MIG welding and fabrication (required). Strong ability to fabricate accurately and efficiently from technical drawings. Confident working independently and as part of a team. A problem-solver with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. TIG welding experience (advantageous but not essential).
