We are currently recruiting for a Working Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor operating in the Mansfield area. This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for small to medium-sized site teams, while also remaining actively involved in the day-to-day site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and site plans
- Coordinate labour and subcontractors on site
- Order and manage materials to ensure works progress efficiently
- Ensure all health & safety standards are met and maintained
- Liaise with site managers and clients to ensure project timelines and expectations are met
- Support the team by working on the tools as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor within the civil engineering or ground works sector
- Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Confident managing site materials and organising deliveries
- CSCS card required; SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
- Driving licence preferred due to site locations
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
