I am currently looking for an experienced Toolmaker/Engineer to join my client's growing team in Taunton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about precision engineering, problem-solving, and building custom, bespoke tooling to the highest standards.
As part of our Toolroom team, you will be involved in the milling, drilling, fitting, and assembly of precision tooling components, supporting a range of specialized projects.
Benefits:
- 08:00 - 17:15 Monday - Thursday, 2pm finish on a Friday!

Key Responsibilities:
- Precision milling and drilling of bespoke tooling components using manual and CNC machines.
- Assembly and fitting of custom tools, fixtures, and jigs to exact specifications.
- Ensure all tooling is manufactured to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Perform hand-finishing operations (e.g., deburring, polishing) to achieve precise fits and finishes.
- Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to deliver tooling solutions that meet project requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Toolmaker/Engineering role, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in manual and CNC milling and drilling operations.
- Proficient in mechanical assembly and hand-fitting techniques.
- Ability to read and understand complex technical drawings and specifications.
