We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled BSL Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team of professionals. Your role will be crucial in helping students with hearing impairments access the curriculum and develop their communication, social, and academic skills. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the teaching and learning of deaf students, ensuring they have access to a tailored and engaging learning environment. Using British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate effectively with students, helping them understand lessons and instructions. Assisting in both classroom and extracurricular activities, promoting an inclusive learning atmosphere. Collaborating with teachers to deliver differentiated support that meets individual learning needs. The successful BSL Teaching Assistant will have: British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 qualification or above (essential). Experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing children and young people in an educational setting. A passion for supporting the academic and personal development of students with additional needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
