We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deployment Manager to lead the rollout of a critical internal IT tool across our clients' rig and asset sites. The tool is designed to be used via mobile pads deployed to rigs, supporting operational scheduling and maintenance tasks. This role involves close collaboration with rig personnel, cross-functional digital and operations teams, and requires hands-on involvement in IT deployment, training, and field enablement. The ideal candidate will bring both technical IT project deployment experience and strong communication skills, with the necessary certification to visit rigs and offshore assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end deployment of the internal IT tool across rigs and assets.
- Act as the primary point of contact between on-site rig teams and the central digital/IT team.
- Schedule and manage deployments, ensuring smooth installation and activation of software on mobile devices (pads) at rig sites.
- Conduct training and onboarding sessions for rig-based users to ensure effective tool adoption.
- Gather feedback from users and relay critical insights to the digital team for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to align tool deployment with rig schedules.
- Ensure all IT infrastructure and software configurations meet operational and security standards.
- Maintain deployment timelines and status reporting to project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines required for asset and rig site visits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT project deployment, preferably in oil & gas or industrial environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong organizational and scheduling capabilities.
- Certification to visit rigs and offshore/onshore assets (e.g., BOSIET, HUET or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with mobile device software rollout and user support.
- Understanding of rig/field-based operations and maintenance workflows is a plus.
- Ability to travel and spend time on-site at rigs as required.
