All about the role:

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work 1-1 with a pupil who has additional needs. The role will entail supporting them to engage with activities both in and out of the classroom but also developing their independence. In return, we can offer you a supportive and well-resourced working environment, positive, hardworking children and friendly staff.

Main Tasks:

  • To support the child with their general learning and be able to differentiate tasks to suit their ability.
  • Liaise with class teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator to successfully plan for and evaluate outcomes on Educational Health Care Plan.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is motivated and flexible in their approach to supporting teaching and learning and is able to adapt to a variety of different needs.
  • Is confident in working 1-1 and in small groups with their named pupils.
  • Is able to form productive working relationships with the class teacher, SENDCo, parents and other outside agencies.
