We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to take on a new role working with stroke patients. Could this be the opportunity for you? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation team specializing in stroke recovery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality therapy to stroke patients, supporting them through their rehabilitation journey. This is a full-time position, with part-time options available. Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Location: East Midlands Position: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered) Hourly Rate: £25 – £27 per hour Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Deliver person-centred occupational therapy to patients in the stroke rehabilitation unit, supporting their recovery and rehabilitation goals. Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nursing staff, to provide holistic care. Assist patients in improving their independence in daily activities, including mobility, self-care, and cognitive functioning. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to patient reviews and progress reports. Provide education and advice to patients and their families, supporting them in managing long-term rehabilitation. Requirements: A qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist. Experience working in stroke rehabilitation or similar inpatient settings is essential. Strong clinical skills, with experience in assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A compassionate, patient-centred approach to care. Full-time availability, with the option for part-time hours.
