Based in Earlsheaton, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury offers 32 beds across two 16-bed wards for male patients with mental health disorders. We also provide neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health conditions. While Dewsbury is not a 24/7 acute hospital, it supports acute patients within our dementia services and offers an alternative setting for those requiring it. Admissions may also occur due to placement breakdowns or from prison settings.
Ward Details:
- Jubilee Ward: 16 beds for males with neuro-cognitive disorders and neuropsychiatric symptoms.
- Hartley Ward: 16 beds for males requiring high dependency inpatient rehabilitation, with complex co-morbid conditions and challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will provide clinical management and leadership of the full nursing team on the ward. This includes acting as a visible role model and mentor, overseeing and maintaining high standards of nursing care, and supporting the ward environment and resources. The role involves acting as a senior clinical team member, offering advice from a nursing perspective, and ensuring quality care delivery.
The Priory Group offers tailored, multidisciplinary treatment programmes across education, hospitals, care homes, and secure facilities for individuals with complex needs or requiring long-term mental healthcare. We ensure seamless transitions between different levels of care, aiming for the best possible outcomes and quality of life. Most services are publicly funded and delivered in partnership with commissioners, with transparent pricing and evidence-based care.
