About the role: West Oxfordshire District Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities (Property) Lead to oversee the effective management, compliance, and operation of all property and facilities-related services within the organisation. In this pivotal role, you will lead the facilities team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day property operations, including maintenance, repairs, health and safety, space utilisation, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and optimising the physical work environment for employees, tenants, and other stakeholders.

You will need:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant profession
  • Five years' experience in the relevant field
  • Relevant professional membership/qualification of governing body
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the issues and legislation affecting estates and property issues
  • Ability to facilitate and manage ongoing change
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and complaints by negotiation

Special Conditions:

  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes
