Are you an experienced Paralegal looking for a role in Private Client? Our client is a well-established law firm based in NW Kent providing a range of legal services to both businesses and individuals and they are looking to add an experienced Paralegal to the team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Client Consultations: Conduct client appointments for straightforward Wills, ensuring all instructions are taken accurately.
- Document Preparation: Prepare, explain, and submit draft documents for client approval promptly, ideally within the same day or within 24 hours.
- Billing: Present the firm's account promptly and secure immediate settlement.
- Referral Management: Refer complex enquiries, such as those involving trusts or inheritance tax advice, to senior team members.
- LPA Advice: Provide advice on Lasting Powers of Attorney, including preparation and registration post-signature.
The Candidate
- Personal Attributes: Pleasant, courteous, efficient, cooperative, diligent, and conscientious.
- Skills: Ability to work unsupervised, good interpersonal and organizational skills, PC literacy, and accurate keyboard skills.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 months' experience in will drafting and Lasting Powers of Attorney within a busy Private Client department, with a proven track record of managing a caseload and meeting client and business expectations.
- Education: A law degree or LPC is desired but not essential.
- Mobility: Must be able to travel between the Bexleyheath, Dartford, and Orpington offices.
Working Hours
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
