IGA Talent Solutions are working with a well-known, global insurance and asset management firm who are looking for a highly experienced Governance Expert to join them for an initial 6 month contract. They are looking for someone to start in June, remote working with occasional trips to London for meetings.
Responsibilities:
- End to end review of Management Committees and Governance.
- Considering the current effectiveness of all Management Committees, including the underpinning subcommittee structures to drive effective decision making, manage risk and execute strategic objectives.
- Establish clear Terms of Reference and identify any amendments to ensure alignment between Committees, roles and responsibilities, alignment with strategic objectives and values, business plans, regulatory responsibilities and ESG.
- Management information and reporting (inputs and outputs) for Management Committees and sub-committees.
- Subcommittee structure - are there effective subgroups, decision making bodies and frameworks which support the Management Committee obligations?
- Risk Management frameworks and oversight for pricing, product design and management, reinsurance, including risk appetite, metrics, data and reporting, ownership and accountability, controls, and mitigation actions, in line with 2nd line Risk Management Framework.

- Governance expert with a background in Insurance and Asset/Investment Management.
- Experience in reviewing Executive Management structures in PRA and FCA regulated companies.
- Able to simply identify solutions to complex decision-making matrices.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively communicate and articulate changes and impacts to senior leaders.
