Würth UK Ltd is a leading supplier of assembly and fastening materials, committed to innovation and customer service excellence. Based at our Erith Head Office, we are looking to expand our commercial team with a Junior Category Manager for PPE and Workwear Clothing who will support the management and growth of the product portfolio.

Role Overview

The Junior Category Manager will assist in managing product categories by analyzing sales data, monitoring market trends, and supporting category strategies to maximize sales and profitability. You will be at the heart of a multi-million pound strategy by targeting marketing segments and identifying product portfolio gaps. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across sales, marketing, and supply teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitating a targeted market segment attack strategy with strategically selected products including product range analysis, pricing, and promotional planning.
• Build relationships with key suppliers to optimise category outcomes
• Analyze sales performance and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Providing information about your products to our sales force and customers
• Continuous hygiene on your category to ensure an efficient customer journey
• Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure timely execution of advertising, marketing content, promotions, and price guides.
• Maintain accurate product information and support product launches.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate category performance and recommendations.
• Manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Person Specification

• Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Business, or related field is desirable but not essential; strong analytical aptitude with a keen eye for detail is key.
• Previous experience in buying, commercial, or analytical roles is advantageous.
• Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency in Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint and Word or Google equivalents.
• Strong attention to detail and a “right first-time” approach.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with internal teams and suppliers.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
