One of my local authority clients based in Surrey are currently on the search for an interim Health & Safety Environmental Health Officer to assist their Corporate Health & Safety function for the next 6 months.

Officers will be expected to:

  • Deal with Union queries and issues.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments.
  • Practical implementation of health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Review and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety strategy.
  • Prepare and manage Health & Safety arrangements for all Council activities.
  • Monitor and report on accidents and incidents and report through internal procedures.

Additional role information:

  • Hours per week: 16-21
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract duration: 6 Months
  • Working Pattern: On site
  • Rate: DoE
