Job Purpose: To deliver effective fire servicing, maintenance, and repair services that meet contractual requirements and customer expectations, ensuring safety and compliance across properties.

Job Summary: The Fire Electrician operates within the Maintenance and Reinvestment team, which is responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective property repairs, compliance, installations, estate services, and reinvestment programs across the UK. The team primarily serves internal clients, with a small number of external clients. The role also involves ensuring the operational health and safety of the service, including fire safety responsibilities. The successful candidate will fully understand and uphold their responsibilities related to health & safety, as well as equality & diversity, at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform fire servicing, repairs, and installations in accordance with relevant regulations to ensure properties are compliant and safe.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely updates on work progress and advice to customers; complete comprehensive daily work records.
  • Maintain and service fire safety systems, including Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire Shutters, and Curtains, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Conduct remedial works and maintenance on fire and life safety systems up to 240V, including Emergency Lighting, to ensure ongoing compliance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot issues or initiate resolution processes, keeping customers informed in line with established procedures, and escalate problems as necessary.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, and manage stock levels in accordance with requisition procedures and budget constraints.
  • Respond proactively to complaints and service breakdowns to meet customer expectations, adhering to contractual and service standards.
  • Support special programs and projects that align with the Groups values and objectives.
