My client, a global professional services firm, is seeking a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant, ideally from a practice setting, who is seeking their first move into industry. My client is a leading professional services business based in Birmingham City Centre, serving prestigious brands internationally.
As Financial Accountant (1st Time Mover) reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will:
- Prepare statements including year-end reporting and audit as well as tax support to the Group Financial Controller
- Complete a full set of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying any issues and implementing changes to ensure issues are resolved
- Have ownership of the Fixed Asset Register
- Complete the quarterly VAT returns
- Prepare cross border GAAP accounts
- Assist with the Financial Accounting for other Group entities
The most desirable applicant for this Financial Accountant (1st Time Mover) role will possess:
- Chartered Accountant professional qualification
- Strong IT skills including MS Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, Vlookup and charts)
- Knowledge and experience of business / finance procedures
Up to £55,000 per annum plus benefit and hybrid working (2 days working from Birmingham City Centre offices).
