Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our team in Princes Risborough. This is a permanent, full-time position.

We operate two Supported Living Services where seven adults with Learning Disabilities share their homes and enjoy a good quality of life. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference, supporting individuals to live the life they choose, respecting their unique abilities and needs.

What we\’re looking for:

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• Ability to reduce social isolation and increase independence and confidence among individuals with learning disabilities.
• Support individuals to access their local communities fully.

Contract options:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Shift times:

Our services provide 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help plan your personal and social life.

• Days and weekends: 8am-6pm, 3pm-8pm, 11am-6pm, 7am-6pm, 12noon-10pm.
• Sleep-ins: 2pm – 2.30pm next day, with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.

*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

Additional information:

This position is not suitable for those seeking sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa or currently holding one, as the role does not meet the UKVI minimum salary threshold.
