Payroll & Finance Manager – Recruitment & Umbrella Company
Location: Thatcham - Flexible / Hybrid / Remote

Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 DoE
We are seeking a Payroll Manager to support both our recruitment business and umbrella company operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll within the recruitment sector, with hands-on experience processing PAYE, CIS, and Umbrella payrolls.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing for PAYE, CIS, and Umbrella workers on a weekly basis
- Ensuring accurate and timely payments, RTI submissions, and HMRC compliance
- Managing payroll queries and liaising with contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Overseeing pension auto-enrolment and statutory deductions
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and recruitment industry compliance
- Supporting credit control, invoicing, and general finance admin
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a payroll role within a recruitment or umbrella company
- Solid understanding of PAYE, CIS, and Umbrella payroll schemes
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., Xero)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
