A well-established and busy workshop is looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Plant Fitter to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of heavy plant machinery in a hands-on and technically engaging role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of plant machinery (including Hitachi equipment)
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Carry out safety inspections and ensure equipment is operating effectively and legally
  • Replace or repair faulty components and systems as required
  • Keep clear service records and ensure workshop standards are maintained
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to meet service deadlines
Requirements:
  • NVQ or equivalent qualification in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering
  • Sound mechanical knowledge, with diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Understanding of hydraulic, diesel and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Hitachi machinery is a bonus, but not essential
  • Strong attitude toward health & safety and quality of work
