WE ARE NOW HIRING: Commercial Gas Engineer (with Pipefitting Experience)

Imperial Heating Services are currently seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer with strong Pipefitting experience to join our expanding team based around London within the M25 area. Our offices are located in Ingatestone; therefore, a commutable distance is essential.

As a business, we carry out both reactive and PPM contracts across commercial sectors, including educational buildings, offices, hospitals, and a variety of other commercial sites. We are a growing business, and we are looking for someone passionate and committed, happy to get involved across different aspects of our contracts as required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Attend sites to assess, diagnose, and repair issues as a first responder.
  • Complete pre-arranged mechanical works, including valve replacements and system investigations.
  • Install, repair, and maintain chilled, hot water, and domestic systems.
  • Carry out pipefitting works including condensate and drainage installations.
  • Work across plant rooms, air handling units, chillers, cold water booster sets, shell and core risers, fan coil units, and large drainage systems.
  • Provide accurate reporting of works completed, including capturing further works, materials used or required, and labour costs.
  • Ability to test and snag your own work upon completion.
  • Read and work from layout and schematic drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with the office, site management, and facilities teams.

Qualifications Required

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential) with experience driving in Central London.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CIGA1.
  • Relevant NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Plumbing, Heating, and/or Ventilation.

Role Details

  • Salary (own van and insurance): £300.00 per day on a self-employed basis.
  • Salary (company lease cover own fuel): £250.00.
  • Hours: General working hours 7am-4pm (some flexibility depending on job location and requirements).
  • Overtime: Weekend/night/out-of-hours rates available (details to be discussed).
  • Company Vehicle: Provided (subject to agreement).
  • Uniform & PPE: Supplied and must be worn on-site.
  • Training: Access to Online Courses through Imperial Heating Services (essential for project access).
