SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic housing association based in Birmingham who are looking to onboard Service Charge Accountants on a 9-12-month FTC basis. The Service Charge Accountants will ensure accurate and timely service charge services are delivered in order that the Group maximise income collection and cost efficiency. This is a great role within a supportive team with a fantastic manager.

Key tasks:

  • Responsible for administering the service charge cycle for the Group's customers
  • Work within the team to monitor and calculate actual service charge costs, ensuring information to customers is accurate and clear.
  • Calculate service charge estimates and ensure customers understand why costs have increased/decreased for the coming year.
  • Ensuring that the charges are correct and relevant, in line with the various legal contracts
  • Liaise with other departments to obtain accurate information regarding new schemes or services and ensuring their legality.
  • Sinking fund management
  • Be aware of all relevant legislation such as the Leasehold Reform Act, Data Protection, Health and Safety.
