Unqualified Teachers – Science, Maths, English

EdEx are working with 4 'Good' and 'Outstanding' schools across the Borough of Hounslow who are looking for Unqualified Teachers – Science, Maths, and English for full time, permanent contracts commencing in ASAP 2024.

The Unqualified Teachers – Science, Maths, English position is the perfect opportunity for a graduate looking to kickstart their teaching career and have their teacher training funded by the school they work with.

There are many routes into being a qualified teacher from this role, including the 12 week assessment only route, a schools direct initial teacher training programme, and a PCGE.

What will the role of an Unqualified Teachers – Science, Maths, English entail?

  • Have your own classes that you are responsible for with the support of a subject specialist mentor who would work with you intensively
  • Provided schemes of work
  • Working alongside the School covering all lessons
  • Providing high quality cover lessons – KS3-4 basis
  • Having a subject specialism where your personal strengths lie
  • Raising attainment & the quality of learning
  • Inspiring & motivating young minds
  • Managing behavior effectively
  • ASAP Start – Full Time – Term Time Only
  • UQT1 – UQT6 – £24,000 – £36,500 per annum

What are we looking for? – Unqualified Teachers, Science, Maths, English

  • Academics:
    • A degree at 1st class or 2:1 in Science, Maths, or English from a reputable university
    • Strong A-Levels and GCSEs
  • Experience – Strong experience working inside education in any of the following roles:
    • Unqualified Teacher
    • Cover Supervisor
    • HLTA
    • Tutor (6 months+)
    • Teaching Assistant (6 months+)
  • Personality:
    • Passionate about your subject specialism
    • Committed to a career in education
    • Comfortable teaching classes of 25-30
