Our Physiotherapy team at the Cambridge Fitness & Wellbeing Centre currently have an opportunity for a Senior MSK Physiotherapist. Continue your professional journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.

On site we have a medical clinic (Health Assessments and Private GP), a large class timetable, personal training, swimming pool, sauna and steam room, and crèche facilities. We also have a state of the art gym, which you will be able to use for personal use, as well during your treatment sessions with patients. The Physiotherapy Department itself has its own patient gym area, and five treatment rooms.

We have free on site parking, and easy access from Cambridge Rail station.

As part of the team you will have clinical support available from your Regional Clinical Lead, Local Physiotherapy Lead, as well as our amazing team of five Senior Physiotherapists.

The Role

You will see a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to. You will have a mix of surgical patients, insurance patients and those self-funding their treatment.

The gym is brilliantly placed to support and mentor the successful candidate for this role, alongside our Academy training programs, and in-house CPD opportunities. The Cambridge Nuffield Hospital is located only 2.5 miles away, allowing for further development and support in regard to Orthopaedic/ Surgical patients - most of the team also work at the Hospital in inpatients on occasion, and if you are keen for this opportunity this could be a future development possibility.

As a Senior Physiotherapist you will:

  • Deliver high quality, effective clinical care.

  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence based and patient centered.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of the standard of treatment provided.
  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner within a busy Outpatient Department.
  • Work at least ONE of your shifts up until 8:00PM.

The Person

To succeed as a Senior Physiotherapist you will:

  • Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you’ll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy and exercise prescription skills.
  • Be a competent and confident IT user, with strong organisation skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
