Overall Purpose of Job
- Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc. for new client booking purposes.
- Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services.
- Provide ticketing services to internal clients in person, by email or telephone.
- Organise travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
- Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and find the best solution to ease any client concerns.
- Service client travel requests ensuring best value for client adhering to company policy in a timely manner, offering expert advice in all aspects of business travel and Colletts Collection services.
- Maximise client service by ensuring minimum errors and Colletts Collection / Global Travel Collection preferred policy is followed, in all possible instances, in line with client requests.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Travel industry.
- Excellent knowledge of travelling related software (computer reservation systems and GDS systems).
- Amadeus preferred – good comprehension of air fares (published and ITX fares).
- Time management.
- Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.
- Excellent all-round travel product knowledge of Luxury Worldwide Destinations.
- A good sense of luxury hotel products and up market travel.
- Exceptional communication & customer service skills.
- Cruise knowledge desirable.
- Tour Operator background preferred.
- General administrative duties where required.
