Axon Moore has been exclusively retained to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a high-growth, specialist financial services group. This is a newly created, board-level role offering the opportunity to play a pivotal part in a business on the cusp of significant transformation.
With a unique market position and a niche financing product, the company is well-capitalised following significant investment and is preparing for its first public debt offering, followed by a potential IPO. This role represents a rare opportunity to help shape the financial future of a business at a key inflection point in its journey.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO and supported by a strong finance team including a Group Financial Controller, the CFO will provide strategic leadership across financial planning, capital markets strategy, and external stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will drive the financial narrative of the business both internally and externally, ensuring it is ready for the scrutiny of public markets.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading preparations for a public debt offering, working with rating agencies and institutional investors.
- Shaping and executing strategies for a potential IPO, including liaising with external advisors and ensuring robust financial disclosures.
- Acting as the company’s financial ambassador to investors, analysts, lenders, and key stakeholders.
- Providing strategic financial counsel to the Board and CEO, with a focus on capital structure, M&A opportunities, and value creation.
- Overseeing financial governance, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A proven track record as CFO or senior finance executive within a high-growth or PE-backed business.
