At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Distribution and connections team. As one of the largest Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) in the UK, we support distribution network operations across infrastructure. Our team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers, carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement.
Are you a skilled and motivated Cable Jointer looking to join a dynamic team? If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a significant impact, this is the opportunity for you! You'll use manuals, asset standards, and technical info to help with installations and remedial works. You'll get hands-on with high voltage switchgear, transformers, and other equipment, and you'll install earthing systems and outdoor gear like bus bars, disconnectors, and switchgear. Safety is a top priority, so you'll work according to our safety systems and permit to work systems. You'll need to be adaptable, responding to unpredicted events and planning effectively without supervision. You'll work both independently and as part of a team, mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and apprentices to help them grow. We're looking for someone who is always eager to learn new skills and stay updated with the latest industry standards.

What you'll bring:
- NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or completed an approved Apprenticeship
- Ability to act as a competent person to receive safety documentation
- Experience in terminating Inner Cone and T-Boot cable terminations
- Experience in installing Indoor / Outdoor Raychem 11kV/33kV terminations
- Experience in Jointing XLPE to XLPE / XLPE to PILC 11kV / 33kV cable Joints
- Experience in dressing and cleating above ground terminations
- Valid clean UK driving licence; this role requires you to travel across sites in Hertfordshire & surrounding counties.
