We are seeking a talented, energetic and enthusiastic person to join our forward-looking and highly motivated Design Technology Department. The ideal candidate should have the ability and skills to work with materials, prepare them and to support staff and students within lessons; check machinery and conduct basic maintenance of equipment. The ability to repair tools and equipment is desirable but not essential.

DUTIES
- Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the teacher.
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, tidy and productive working environment.
- Timely and accurate preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials as required by staff/curriculum/lesson plans etc.
- Record keeping including annual stock take and completion of department inventory.
- Ensure the health and safety and good behaviour of pupils at all times.
- Provide clerical/admin support, for example, basic typing, word processing, desk top publishing, photocopying, printing, updating displays.
- Ordering/purchasing stock and ingredients.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
- NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.
- GCSE or equivalent in 3 subjects including Maths and English at Grade C or above.
- General technical/resource support.
