Bramah Recruitment are recruiting for a Commis Chef to join a well known and well respected business based close to Melton Mowbray. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to kick start their career in the Kitchen and be involved in a high end establishment.
Responsibilities:
- To assist in preparing and seasoning meat as well as be responsible for the preparation of vegetables and other ingredients for senior Chefs.
- To maintain high standards of food hygiene.
- To ensure a clean and tidy work station with regular cleaning duties.
- To prepare basic salads and sauces to accompany main dishes.
- Support with plating and presentation.
- To manage kitchen food stock ensuring food is not past its sell by date and to dispose of food accordingly.
- To provide general assistance to the senior kitchen staff where necessary.
