ASAP Start
Black Point Recruitment is looking for Class 1 HGV Drivers in the Heathrow area for a fantastic client who is looking to add multiple drivers to their team. The client is one of the biggest logistics businesses in the area specialising in next day delivery and are looking to grow their team to meet demands. You will operate company vehicles safely while adhering to transport legislation and load-specific regulations. Ensure secure, efficient transportation of goods across the UK. This position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis with an ASAP start, providing an excellent opportunity to join the team immediately and grow with the business.
Role details:- Deliveries & Collections: Conduct nationwide deliveries/collections, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Load Handling: Safely load/unload freight using company-approved methods and equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Cargo Security: Maintain load integrity during transit, including proper securing and monitoring.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery paperwork, logbooks, and defect reports.
- Hours: 10 hours per day: 6am starts (any overnight stays will be compensated)
- Monday - Friday
- Duration: 12 weeks temp to perm
- Valid C+E Licence (Category C+E)
- Current Driver CPC (DQC) and digital tachograph card.
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience and 25 years of age minimum is essential due to insurance requirements.
- ADR training preferred but training can be provided.
- Good Communication Skills
- £42,000 starting salary
