The Opportunity
This top 50 national law firm are looking for an Employment Lawyer to join their Employment, Pensions, and Immigration department. The team consists of 6 Partners, 2 Legal Directors, 2 Principal Associates, 4 Associates, and 2 Trainees. The team is ranked in both legal directories for its market-leading work.
The Role
- Advising clients in a range of sectors on the full range of employment law issues, including redundancy, disciplinary matters, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination and detriment claims.
- Responsibility for defending Employment Tribunal claims
- Corporate / transactional support
- Advising in relation to change projects, changing terms and conditions and consultation requirements
- Industrial relations advice
- Assisting other members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate
- Drafting, tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements and reports
- Drafting articles and legal updates
- Assisting with business development initiatives including training and networking
