Are you a passionate, qualified teacher looking to make a real difference? We're seeking a dedicated QTS Tutor to join our growing team in Peterborough, supporting pupils in need of tailored, one-to-one or small group tuition outside of mainstream education.

About the Role:

As a QTS Tutor, you'll work with students across Key Stages 1-4, helping them to re-engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. This may include working with pupils with SEN, EHCPs, or those requiring catch-up support. Sessions typically take place in local centres, schools, or at students' homes, with some remote options available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of tutoring sessions
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families
  • Liaise with schools and education professionals when needed

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
  • Be confident teaching GCSE classes online
  • Provide a firm but fair approach
  • Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
