\\nOur client is seeking a skilled Barrister from chambers, the employed bar, or civil litigation background to join their established and expanding advocacy team. Preferred experience in Personal injury (though wider litigation backgrounds are welcome).

\\nWhat you will do as a Barrister:
\\n\\n
- \\n\\t
- Represent claimants in trials, CMCs/CCMCs, interim hearings, IAHs, Stage 3 portal hearings, and other advocacy across England & Wales
- Draft advices, pleadings, and skeleton arguments
- Guide junior advocates and ensure high standards of service
- Stay current with procedural changes, case law, and legislation
- Expect regular travel, including potential overnight stays

\\nThis role offers the opportunity to work with solicitor owner-managers in a fast-growing firm, as their third in-house barrister, reporting to the Head of Advocacy. You’ll receive instructions similar to external counsel and be involved in both fast-track and occasional multi-track litigation.

\\nBarrister experience to include:

- Current practising certificate
- Higher Rights of Audience (if applicable)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Demonstrable advocacy experience
- Resilience and able to think and perform under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Knowledge of Proclaim Case Management System
- Own car preferred (although travel expenses will be paid).
- Able to act upon own initiative as well as taking direction from management where appropriate
- Able to work independently where necessary but also as part of a team
- Strong understanding of confidentiality – tact and discretion are absolutely essential
- Good IT skills including all Microsoft Office
