Subsea7 is looking for a Project Engineer (Pipeline Installation) to join our Pipeline Group (PG) team at either our Westhill, Aberdeen or Sutton, London office on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be part of a team of project installation engineers, dealing with different pipeline installation methods (S&J Lay, reel lay) for a package of work on either a project or tender. You will support the efficient day-to-day running of the engineering team and provide regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters, and resource management.
This will be a varied role but some of the main responsibilities include:
- Follow project scope from early engagement with our internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets.
- Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow up, proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations.
- Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
- Assist Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs and costing support.
- Supporting installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow up.
- Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.
What experience would we like you to have?

- You will be degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology / Civil / Mechanical or equivalent.
- You will have relevant experience as a project engineer in a subsea engineering field, ideally within an offshore pipeline installation role, particularly in the reel lay discipline (i.e., Reel Lay, J-Lay, S-Lay).
- Ideally you will have previous offshore worksite experience will be beneficial.
- You should be a clear communicator, able to speak with all levels within the business, who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team.
- You will have good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability to prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
- This role may involve short spells of overseas travel so candidates may need to show a willingness and flexibility.
