Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, including sleep-ins and occasional residential trips
Salary: £12.54 – £13.10 per hour, depending on experience
Sleep-In Rate: £70.50 per night (typically 6–8 per month)

Role Summary:
We’re looking for Residential Support Workers to join our inclusive, supportive team in Glossop. This role suits individuals already working in residential childcare or those with transferable life experience and skills who want to make a difference. You’ll work closely with young people aged 11–17 who have faced trauma and disadvantage, helping them to feel safe, build confidence, and develop life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people with emotional, social, educational, and behavioural development
- Deliver consistent care, routine, and support through early, late, and sleep-in shifts
- Assist with daily tasks such as mealtimes, appointments, and activities
- Collaborate with external professionals and family members to advocate for each child’s best interests
- Take part in occasional residential trips
- Ensure safeguarding practices, equality, and confidentiality are always upheld
- Contribute to a positive team culture that values diversity and personal growth
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Some previous experience in residential childcare or a similar setting is preferred
- Senior positions require Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
- A calm, consistent, and resilient approach to supporting children who may challenge boundaries
- A full UK manual driving licence is required
- Able to commit to full-time hours, including flexible shifts and sleep-ins
