Information Governance Officer, £14.50-£15.60 per hour, immediate start, 3 months with possible extension.

Your new company:

Hays are working with a Public Sector Organisation to recruit for an Information Governance Officer.

Your new role:

  • Completion of the Recording of Processing Activities (RoPA)
  • Completion of the Info Asset Register
  • Assisting with developing a policy for labelling of emails to facilitate Records Management and Retention
  • Drafting a Subject Access Request policy in line with ICO guidance
  • Comprehensive Data Protection policy including guidance on data breaches and assistance with training
  • Data Protection Impact Assessment policy and procedures

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A degree in a related specialist discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in an information governance role
  • Experience of complex data protection impact assessments.
  • Experience of supporting governance projects to improve records management activities.
  • Experience in managing GDPR, FOI, SAR and EIR requests within compliant timescales.
