Pertemps are looking for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers on a regular Monday to Friday basis for a prestigious automotive company based in Tamworth. When working within the automotive sector with us, long term opportunities are available. Night shifts are available Monday - Friday from 21:30 - 00:30 start times, paying £18.50 per hour.
This role will involve:
- Making deliveries and collections nationwide of automotive parts to secure locations
- Up to a maximum of 15 drops per night (multiple drops in same locations)
- Typical start times 21:30 - 00:30 with stable working patterns
- 8-12 hour shifts (Minimum 8 hours paid)
- 5 shifts per week
- Handling roll cage, loose items and some palletised goods
- Site is based in Dordon with easy access from the M42 Junction 10
Successful HGV Class 1 Night Drivers will:
- Have at least 6 months C+E experience
- Held Class 1 licence for at least 2 years
- Have no more than 6 points for minor offences (No DDs, DRs or CDs)
- Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
HGV Class 1 Night Drivers PAYE rates of pay:
- Monday to Friday Nights - £18.50 per hour
Mandatory assessments are involved which will include:
- Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)
- Full site and safe systems of work induction
- Vehicle familiarisation
- Practical driving assessment
