Job Description
The Langham, London; Europes first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Director Sales MICE to join our talented Sales and Marketing team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
In the role of Director of Sales MICE, you will split your time 50/50 overseeing the segment for The Langham, London and managing outbound business from the region for Langham Hospitality Group (LHG). Your key responsibilities will be:
To manage your own account base of globally producing accounts for LHG and The Langham, London.
Plan and manage tradeshows for the segment hosted in the region including IMEX Frankfurt and the UK Sales Mission.
Manage and develop two direct reports.
Attend daily sales briefings, revenue meetings, weekly and monthly sales meetings.
Follow-up on sales leads for The Langham, London and LHG properties.
Participate in local and international sales trips, such as M&I Forum and InVoyage.
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales report and attend quarterly review meeting.
Arrange, participate and host familiarisation trips.
Conduct site inspections.
Ensure that all account, contact and booking activity is updated in the Salesforce system.
Do you have? –
Previous experience in a senior pro-active sales role within similar style and size property
Established prominent key stakeholder contacts within UK MICE market
Excellent communication skills
Strong team management and leadership skills
Sales/account management and business development skills
Previous use of Salesforce and Shiji systems is desirable
It would be advantageous if you have worked in a regional or multi hotel role
